Many people experience grief at least once in their lifetime but knowing that doesn’t necessarily make navigating it any easier. Grief is a natural human response to loss of any kind .
Divorce, loss of health, job, a retirement, the loss of friendship, the passing of a pet, trauma, the sale of the family home, can bring feelings of grief and despair.This process can be louds, quiet, secret, or out in the open, determined by the individual coping style and personality.
The grief process is helpfully outlined in five stages.The five stages are:
